BIM Model Validation for the Scuola Normale Superiore of Pisa

The BIM-Lab.net Project team provided support to the Contracting Authority Representative (RUP) for the verification and validation of the BIM models related to the following projects:

1. Final and executive design for the redevelopment and energy efficiency improvement of the Fermi College;

2. Technical and economic feasibility study for the renovation and functional upgrading of the San Silvestro Complex;

3. Final and executive design for the restoration and regulatory and functional upgrading of the Timpanino College.

The activities included in the assignment specifically concerned:

-Review of the Employer’s Information Requirements (EIR) prepared by the Contracting Authority and definition of the project objectives;

– Support to the Contracting Authority Representative (RUP) during initial meetings with the design team, aimed at setting up and initiating activities related to information management;

– Support to the Contracting Authority Representative (RUP) in both ongoing and final verification of the modeling and information content, in accordance with the BIM Execution Plan and the improvement proposals submitted by the awarded service provider, as well as any agreements made between the designers and the Contracting Authority;

– Support to the Contracting Authority Representative (RUP) during the project handover phase to the reviewers, including coordination meetings with the designers on information management topics;

– Support to the Contracting Authority Representative (RUP) for BIM Validation.
