Description
The works covered by the contract concern a site of profound historical and cultural significance, located at the entrance to the Archaeological Area of Paestum. The Tender Team of BIM-Lab.net Project prepared the improved technical offer in support of the Bidding Company.
– restoration and architectural and functional redevelopment of the former Cirio complex to be converted into a new museum hub;
– integration of new systems and installations;
– functional improvement of internal pathways and creation of spaces dedicated to reception, bookshop, conference hall, food services, exhibition and multimedia areas, interdisciplinary educational workshops, Mediterranean diet exhibition room, visitable archaeological storage areas, and offices;
– consolidation and restoration of the archaeological structures;
– reorganization of fields to be used for Mediterranean crops;
– restoration of accessibility to the industrial complex and the Sanctuary of Santa Venera.
The technical proposal fully met the requirements of the Contracting Authority, in accordance with the design developed by the architectural firm Studio Associato Gucciardini & Magni Architetti. The enhanced project will ensure high construction quality through low-impact systems capable of harmonizing the reality of industrial archaeology — represented by the former Cirio factory — with that of classical archaeology, embodied by the Sanctuary of Santa Venera, a sacred site dedicated to the cult of Aphrodite Urania (Venera to the Romans).
