Description
The BIM-Lab.net Project team supported the contractor in drafting the technical proposal and, since the tender was conducted as a design-and-build contract, also carried out the executive design phase.
The project involves the construction of a new building to be used as a cinema-theater, replacing the original cinema, which is scheduled for demolition.
The design aspects focused on:
- Improvement of the building’s energy performance and the durability of the materials used
- The design of finishes and furnishings, and the layout of the interior spaces.
The development of a BIM model already during the tender phase, used to evaluate and quantify the proposed improvements, also provided a tool to be updated during the construction phase. During this phase, the BIM-Lab.net Project team supported the contractor, ensuring the elimination of numerous conflicts.
The work was carried out as part of a design consortium (RTP) with Arch. Mario G.S. Giudice, Arch. Eng. Mario L. Capasso, Arch. Eng. Rosario Antonini, and Eng. Vincenzo Miano.
